BILLIONAIRE football club chief Roman Abramovich shelled out $50,000 on a boozy lunch at a top New York restaurant.
The 42-year-old owner of Chelsea spent more than £35,000 on the meal for nine friends at Nello's restaurant on the city's swanky Madison Avenue.
Onlookers were stunned as the Russian tycoon then left an extra $5000 on top of the $7000 service charge.
The bill beats rapper Jay-Z, who spent just over £1000 on lunch at the same place last week.
The feast included two magnums of Cristal rose champagne, three bottles of La Tache Romanee Conti burgundy and two bottles of Chateau Petrus claret - at £3000 a pop.
